Located in the northern part of Selous Game Reserve and close to Lake Tagalala and the Beho Beho hot springs, Sand Rivers sits on a rocky peninsula under tamarind and mahogany trees overlooking the Rufiji River.

There are 5 spacious open fronted cottages of stone and thatch on the banks of the Rufiji River.  There are also 2 suites and a 1 bedroom house.  All cottages have large en suite bathrooms with flush toilet and powerful showers.

There is a cosy mess with comfortable seating, and a dining area where you can enjoy excellent food.  Both are set close to the river.   There is also a swimming pool.

Activities include bird watching, bush lunches or dinners, boating on the Rufiji River, game drives, elephant bush walk, fishing, fly camping and walking safaris.  A 4-day wilderness walk is also possible.
